The sixth annual Timberwolves Youth Football Camp was held from June 22-25 at High School-North.  Run by Head Football Coach Chuck Dailey, his staff and varsity players, the camp's featured guest clinician was former NFL football star Bo Orlando (pictured center, surrounded by aspiring future T-Wolf football stars).

 

Members of Coach Jason Kirkpatrick's Timberwolf baseball team celebrate their 3-0 victory over top-seeded Pleasant Valley in the Mountain Valley Conference baseball semi-final.  The T-Wolves will now battle number 2 seeded Stroudsburg for the Mountain Valley Conference Baseball Championship.  WOW!!  Photo, courtesy of the Pocono Record.

 

Three former Cavalier cheerleaders will be members of the Penn State University cheerleading team this fall.  Pictured above (l-r) are: Danielle Carfaro (South, '05), Eugene Bodden (South, '09) and Brittany Carfaro (South, '06).

 

Timberwolf senior basketball star Terrance King (foreground) recently signed a National Letter of Intent to accept a scholarship to attend East Stroudsburg University.  Looking on are (l-r) Matt Mullaney (Lehman Intermediate head basketball coach), Jeff Reichl (HS-North junior varsity basketball coach), Chuck Dailey (North associate athletic director), Kevin Kennedy (T-Wolf head basketball coach) and Terrance's mother Josephine King.  Terrance was honored as the Mountain Valley Conference Boys' Basketball Most Valuable Player this past season.

 

At a recent luncheon, Timberwolf cheerleader Ayanna James (left) and Cavalier swimmer Sarah Menio (right) were honored as Mountain Valley Conference Scholar-Athletes for winter, 2008-2009.

 

At a recent practice, Coach Kevin Kennedy's Timberwolves varsity boys' basketball team hosted Tiger Pack 108 from Bushkill Elementary School .  The scouts had the opportunity to watch the team go through their drills and at the end of practice the players interacted with the scouts and allowed them to participate in drills of their own.  Some of the scouts even had the opportunity to dunk the ball, courtesy of a boost from big Mike Samuels.

Coach Adam Coffman's Cavalier Girls' Swim Team celebrate their victory at the Mountain Valley Conference Swim Meet.

 

Cavalier junior Carly Gallagher (5th from left) recently became the twelfth basketball player in East Stroudsburg Area School District history to surpass 1,000 points for her career.  Left to right are Carly's mother Kelly, her sister Cori, her father Charles, her sister Kelsey, Carly, Cavalier Head Girls' Basketball Coach Adam Cole and High School-South Assistant Principal Theresa Benjamin.

Cavalier senior Amr Aldeen competing in the District XI Cross Country Meet.  Amr, the 2-time MVC Champion, was recently named Mountain Valley Conference Boys' Cross Country "Most Valuable Player," by a vote of MVC cross country coaches.
Lehman Intermediate School Associate Athletic Director Brian Mitchell (left) and J.T. Lambert Intermediate School Associate Athletic Director Steve Schouppe (right) proudly display a banner presented to both schools, emblematic of the P.I.A.A. District XI Sportsmanship Award earned by both the Timberwolves and Cavaliers, for their coaches and athletic teams' leadership in exemplary behavior and sportsmanship.  Congratulations to Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Schouppe, their coaches, athletes and fans.  Great work!!
