As an extension of Monroe County's four school districts, MCTI provides tuition-free career and technical education for secondary students of Monroe County. Each school day, students attend a half-day at MCTI and a half-day at their high school. MCTI offers its students opportunities to learn specific career skills and training which prepares them for entrance into the workforce or post-secondary education. The majority of students begin attending MCTI in 10th grade. There is a special program in which students begin attending MCTI in 9th grade. They still choose one program in which to advance their career and technical skills but they also take their core academic classes at MCTI as well. This is a great opportunity to get a head start and become more familiar with MCTI.

Applications to attend the MCTI are accepted at any time, however, most applications are collected during the Fall semester. The application for the 24-25 school year will be available at the end of October, 2023. Please see Mr. Kerzner for more information.
