Mission Statement

The mission of Bushkill Elementary School, a culturally diverse, rapidly growing, united community, is dedicated to creating a sound foundation in shaping each student to become a positive, respectful, well-rounded citizen on a lifelong journey of success.

Overview

Bushkill Elementary School, built in 1998, was designed to meet the changes occurring in our diverse community in terms of both the growth and educational needs of our students. The building has 34 classrooms with several small-group classrooms to accommodate 800 students. Eighty-four professional and non-professional staff provide all the required educational experiences that our students need and deserve. The school is equipped with the latest technology including networked Internet access, telephone systems, cable television, white boards with overhead projectors, computers that are Internet ready in every classroom, and four mobile computer labs. In addition to the 34 classrooms, the building contains music rooms, an art room, a library with a large variety of books, and a multi-purpose room that serves as the cafeteria, physical education facility, and auditorium. Outside facilities include practice baseball/softball fields, football/soccer fields, two playgrounds, and plenty of open space.

Directions

From the Administration Center's parking lot turn left on North Courtland Street (Business Route 209 North). Proceed through Marshalls Creek and continue for approximately eight miles on Route 209 to the blinker light in Bushkill. At the blinker light turn left and proceed for approximately seven miles on Bushkill Falls Road . You will pass the Tamiment Resort on the left before arriving at the Bushkill Elementary School . The Bushkill Elementary School is located on the left side of the road five miles beyond the entrance to the Tamiment Resort.

Take Exit 309 off Interstate Route 80. Proceed straight ahead on Traffic Route 209 ( Seven Bridges Road ). Proceed until the road intersects Business Route 209 at Marshalls Creek . Turn right (following Business Route 209) for approximately eight miles. At the blinker light in Bushkill turn left and proceed for approximately seven miles on Bushkill Falls Road . You will pass the Tamiment Resort on the left before arriving at the Bushkill Elementary School . The Bushkill Elementary School is located on the left side of the road five miles beyond the entrance to the Tamiment Resort.
