Jazz Band
The ESHS South "Exit 309" Jazz Band is an extra-curricular musical organization that consists of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, and rhythm section instruments. The group rehearses once a week directly after school, and occasionally additional small group sectionals are scheduled at the director's discretion.
The ensemble explores classic jazz literature through rehearsal and performance. Repertoire is selected from standards of the swing and be-bop era, and also covers contemporary funk, fusion, rock, and latin music in preparation for performance at various adjudications and concerts throughout Pennsylvania.
