Class of 1989…Began studying classical piano at age 7, joined his elementary school’s concert band as trombonist at age 9 and at age 10, won a nation-wide talent competition with spit-fire piano rendition of Count Basie’s “Jumping at the Woodside”…At 17, won National Downbeat Student Award for “best extended competition and arrangement” for his original composition, “Half & Half”…ESHS honors included District and Regional Concert Band, All-State Jazz Ensemble, Fred Waring’s U.S. Chorus, National Honors Jazz Band, District Chorus Instrument Ensemble and John Philip Sousa Memorial Concert Band—all as a trombonist…Piano accompanist for HS and District Chorus and the Celebration of the Arts “COTA Cats”…As HS junior, became a member of the East Stroudsburg University Jazz Ensemble…As student at ESU, played trombone in concert band and brass ensemble and piano in jazz ensemble…Selected 2 consecutive years for Intercollegiate Concert Band as a trombonist…Earned full scholarships to Berklee College of Music, Clark Terry’s Jazz Camp, Celebration of the Arts Commission and ESU Music Dept.…Currently serves as pianist, trombonist, composer, arranger, recording artist, producer and teacher…Awards include 1st place in Great American Jazz Piano Competition (2006), Jacksonville, FL…4th in world in Martial Solal Jazz Piano Competition (2002), Paris, France…1st place at American Pianist Assn. Fourth Biennial Jazz Piano Competition (1998), Indianapolis, IN…Signed recording contract in 1992 & has recorded 3 CDs (1992, 1995 and 2001)…Performed at the United States Day in the United Kingdom’s Millennium Dome as a member of a U.S. delegation presented by the White House Millennium Council, July 2000…Has performed at and has been recorded in numerous prestigious music venues throughout the world, with world famous jazz musicians including Clark Terry, Freddie Hubbard, Urbie Green, Phil Woods, David Liebman, Jimmy Heath, John Patitucci, Chris Potter, Dave Tofani, Benny Carter, Gary Burton, Al Cohn, Joe Cohn, Bill Watrous, Terrell Stafford, John Riley, Mark Murphy, Manny Album, Bobby Durham, Michael Moore, and many others.

ESHS graduate, Class of 1989, ranked #3 in her class…At ESHS, participated in marching band, concert band, jazz band and Choraliers…Selected to District and Regional Chorus, as well as serving as Drum Major during senior year…Earned the “Fred Waring Award” for vocal music…Summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Muhlenberg College, with a degrees in English and theater arts…Danced her way across the continent and back again, locations ranging from Alaska to Cape Breton Island, from the Kennedy Center to Club Passim, from Carnegie Hall to streetside "Dance Distractions."…Her choreography has been presented by groups in New York City, Philadelphia, Allentown, and Boston…Serves as artistic director of Cape Dance Theater, Cape Cod (Massachusetts)…Teaches modern dance and creative movement at Cape Cod Community College…Has danced with Back Porch Dance Company, Bonnie Rideout's Scottish Christmas tour, Peanut Butter and Jelly Dance Company, Highland Dance Boston, Allen Body Group, Kieran Jordan Dancers, and Susan Creitz…Made national TV performance of Scottish dance from New York City on “Good Morning America”…Currently employed at Massachusetts Institute of Technology…Has studied at the Laban Center and Drill Hall Arts Centre in London, England…Has traveled extensively to study Scottish dance and Scottish music and is becoming fluent in the Gaelic language.

Class of 1982…Began playing trombone at J.M. Hill Elementary School in 4th grade…ESHS band achievements include 2 years of District and Regional Band, Lead Trombonist, PA State HS Jazz Ensemble during senior year…Also chosen Lead Trombonist, US National HS Jazz Ensemble, National HS Band Conference, Kansas City, MO, June, 1982…2-time winner, John Philip Sousa Award…Served as band vice president and band president…Received Excellence in English Award, 1981…Named English student of the year…3rd in his class…2-time golf team MVA & 1982 Baseball Team MVA...Bachelors Degree in classical music from the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, 1989…Became a member of the United States Coast Guard Band, 1991…Has performed concerts throughout the US, Austria, Italy and England;  for 3 presidents, 4 presidential inaugurations, as well as the funeral of President Ronald Reagan;  at Carnegie Hall, on the floor of Congress, the White House lawn, Arlington Cemetery, the National Cathedral, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and at the foot of Mount Rushmore…In March of 2006, made a return engagement to East Stroudsburg, as the Coast Guard Band performed a concert at ESHS South, a concert in which he also performed as soloist with the band…Currently lives in southeastern Connecticut with his wife Heather, a professional violinist, and their seven children.
