Mission Statement

Middle Smithfield Elementary, using the talents, strengths and creativity of students, parents, and community will work to provide a positive character-based learning environment that respects the varied academic, cultural, social and emotional needs of its students.

Overview

Middle Smithfield is a K-5 school utilizing a Character-based learning environment. Our school has a 52% minority rate among our 800 students. They are taught by a 50 member teaching staff and assisted by an additional 30 member support staff. The students have consistently scored above state guidelines on standardized tests. Middle Smithfield also offers wide-ranging intramural and enrichment programs to enhance student learning. A wide variety of clubs also meet after school for the benefit of the children.

Directions

From the Administration Center, proceed left on North Courtland Street (Business Route 209 North). Proceed through Marshalls Creek and continue for approximately three miles. The Middle School is located on the right hand side of the roadway shortly after the truck weigh station. There is a -blinking- school zone sign located a short distance before the entrance drive to the school.

Take Exit 309 off Interstate Route 80. Proceed straight ahead on Traffic Route 209 ( Seven Bridges Road ), proceed left on Traffic Route 209. Proceed until the road intersects at Marshalls Creek . Turn right and follow Business Route 209 for approximately three miles. The Middle Smithfield School is located on the right hand side of the roadway.
