East Stroudsburg Area School District

Since 1934, the East Stroudsburg Instrumental Music program has established a rich tradition of outstanding instrumental music education. Students in grades four through twelve are provided small group lesson instruction and large group instruction in the form of concert band, with further opportunities for jazz ensemble at the intermediate and high school levels, and marching band at the high school level. Our goal is to have all band students involve themselves in the many musical opportunities while at East Stroudsburg and after graduation.

The East Stroudsburg Area School District Instrumental Music Department advocates students at all levels working with contemporary composers and conductors of band literature as an important learning experience in their music education. The Department Concert Composer/Conductor Series has provided that opportunity to all East Stroudsburg band members since 1985.
