Going Bananas Over Our Banana Tree!

We were very lucky to have a banana tree given to us by one of our music teachers, Mrs. Rispoli.  Little did she know that the little plant she gave us would flourish and produce produce!

Pictured above are the bananas that have been growing on our banana tree since the spring of 2005.  We are expecting them to begin ripening in September, just in time for the children to see!	In the above photo, hanging from the bunch of bananas is yet another pod.  Each bunch of bananas begins as a pod such as this one.
