Mrs. Bobbi Nordmark is the Resica School Library Media Specialist. She received her education at Bloomsburg University, East Stroudsburg University, and Mansfield University of PA. She has attained two Masters degrees, one in Elementary Education and one in School Library and Instructional Technology. Mrs. Nordmark has been at Resica since its opening in 1994 and with the East Stroudsburg Area School District since 1991. She has served as a fifth grade and second grade teacher for several years prior to becoming Resica's Librarian.

 

Mrs. Nordmark's favorite past times are to spend time with her family, read, workout, and sing. Her favorite part of working at Resica is the look of excitement in children's eyes when they find the perfect book that sparks their interests.

 

Mrs. Rose Perkins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. The 2009-2010 school year will be Mrs. Perkins' 3rd year at Resica. Mrs. Perkins' favorite thing about teaching at Resica is seeing and hearing the growth her students make on their instruments. Her favorite pastime is enjoying nature with both her husband and her dog!

Mrs.Jane Oplinger is the Resica Art teacher.  Mrs. Oplinger earned both her BS in Art Education at and  a M. Ed. Art Education at Kutztown University of PA.   Mrs. Oplinger has been a member of Resica faculty since 1994. 

Mrs. Oplinger's hobbies include gardening and photography.  Mrs. Oplinger enjoys the opportunities she has to integrate the arts into the classroom curriculum as she believes students learn so much more when academics are mixed with the arts!  One of Mrs. Oplinger's favorite parts of working at Resica is when she is able to see the spark of excitement for learning in herstudents eyes!

Mrs. Yvonne Rispoli is one of our K-5th grade vocal music teachers at Resica. Mrs. Rispoli earned an Associates in Specialized Business from Churchman Business School, a B.S. in Music Education from Messiah College, and a M.S. in Education from Wilkes University. 

Mrs. Rispoli began at Resica when the school first opened in 1994.  Her favorite past time activities include playing piano, singing, and traveling/camping with her R.V.  Mrs. Rispoli's favorite thing about working at Resica is having the opportunity to be with children and creating music with them on a daily basis. YAHOO!!!

Ms. Mary Conklin is one of two Health and Physical Education Teachers at Resica.  She is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a B.S.+ in K-12 Health and Physical Education.   Ms. Conklin has been teaching in the East Stroudsburg School District for 20 years, 16 of those years at Resica Elementary.

Ms. Conklin states that what she enjoys most about Resica is the total support from her colleagues which makes it easy for her to do the extras ( mileage club, 4 days of field day...)for our students.  She also enjosy the enthusiasm the students bring with them into the gym.  In addition to enjoying her time at Resica, Ms. Conklin's favorite past time activities include tennis, photography, wood working, home renovations(which never seem to end).

Mr. John Madas is one of the two music teachers at Resica Elementary, teaching Kindergarden, 1st, and 3rd grades. He also teaches vocal music, 6th and 7th grade general music, and accompanies the choirs at JT Lambert Intermediate School. This is Mr. Madas' first year in the East Stroudsburg Area School District . Mr. Madas is a graduate of Mansfield University , where he earned his Bachelors degree in Music Education.

Mr. Madas enjoys roller coasters, swimming, landscaping, and watching Penn State football. Mr. Madas likes working at Resica because he likes to see students experience the joy of music for the first time.

 

Mr. Jeff Henry is Resica's other Physical Education teacher.  Mr. Henry attended ESU where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Helath and Physical Education, and a Master's Degree in Sport's Management.   Mr. Henry is entering his 18th year teaching (16 of those years have been spent at Resica).  In addition to Physical Education classes, Mr. Henry also leads our Intramural program.


In his spare time, Mr. Henry enjoys golfing, hiking/walking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  Just as our "Rock Climbing Wall" in the Mult-Purpose room says, Mr. Henry also thinks the Resica "Rocks" because of it constant demonstration of true teamwork.  He feels our administrator, teachers, support staff, students, and parents all work together to ensure a successful educational environment.
