Resica Elementary's First Annual "Family Game Night"
In celebration of our last 3 Character Education words, teamwork, humor and excellence, we held a Family Game Night. We felt that, in today's day and age, it was important to bring our school and families together for a night of laughter, teamwork and community spirit.
For this special night, we not only invited our current students, but also those from Middle Smithfield Elementary who will be relocating to our school. We want these families to experience our spirit and family focus and to know that they are already thought of as part of the Resica Family!
Ms.Conklin over sees the families as they compete to maneuver across our "Resica Rocks" Climbiing Wall.
Mr. Wood skillfully coaches our families as they engage in a good old fashion game of Volleyball.
Moving on to the classroom areas, we find Mrs. Metaxas and Mrs. Siptroth hosting their version of "Family Feud"!
Who says today's children aren't agile? We certainly found they were as they did the Liimbo!
Pop goes the balloon as our families compete to pop the most balloons.
"Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader" meets "Jeopardy" as Ms. Macaluso tests everyone's knowledge!
Even Ms. Kulick got a chance to join in the fun during Pictionary.
Of course, no game night is complete without testing your higher level thinking skill with Tangrams and...
the "24" card game!
After such hard work, we did of course take time to eat and chat!
