Care Quilts From Caring Kids

 

The Resica quilt project was a joint effort of our Arts In Education Committee and the Resica Student Council.  In September at the Middle Smithfield Township/Resica Elementary Day in the Park, the Art In Ed. Committee sponsored a booth in which children designed quilt squares.  The topic the children were to illustrate was how the arts are important in the school.  The quilt squares were then intergrated into small quilts that will be donated on an ongoing basis to the Bushkill Emergency Corps.   These quilts will be given to sick and injured children to serve as a comfort at a time that can be very frightening for children.  Each child will then take the quilt home with him or her.
