About Us

The East Stroudsburg Area School District (ESASD) Virtual Academy provides access to an online, collaborative and self-paced learning environment that:

  • Provides challenging learning opportunities in all academic areas
  • Facilitates 21st century skills
  • Offers course instruction by ESASD Pennsylvania Certified Teachers
  • Offers guidance services by ESASD Guidance Counselors

Students will be able to combine these skills with the effective use of technology to succeed in current and future jobs. Directing one’s own learning path is not only valuable, but essential, in the 21st century.

Student Responsibilities

  • Students are required to log into each course every school day, or they will be marked absent
  • Students are required to follow all district policies and regulations according to the district handbook
  • Students entering VA after the start of the semester are required to complete all missed work before the end of the semester

Goals and Objectives

  • Provide a free public education for East Stroudsburg Area School District students in an online, collaborative and teacher-facilitated learning environment
  • Provide additional avenues for drop-outs, charter, and home school students
  • Provide the opportunity for students to earn a high school diploma
  • Provide challenging learning opportunities in all academic areas
