  • Dress Code Policy 2018-2019 (Effective 9/17/18)

At the regular meeting of the Board of Education held on Monday, September 17, 2018, the Board voted (5-4) to rescind the July 17, 2017 adoption of Policy 221 - Dress and Grooming (for students), effectively reverting to the August 17, 2015 version of the Policy. The Policy, now in effect, again requires all high school students to wear their school district issued photo identification, visible on a lanyard or clipped to the shirt collar on the front of the torso, above the waist and below the shoulders, effective once the district procures and provides lanyards and/or clips. Please know that any clothing that was permitted to be worn under the Policy that was in effect at the start of this school year remains acceptable under the Policy the Board reverted to.

  • Student Digital Device Handbook and Information

At East Stroudsburg Area School District, we want each of our graduates to be successful in their post-high school workplaces or institutions of further study. We know that in this century it is nearly impossible to do this without a digital device and so we have been committed to giving our students access to these devices at school and teaching them to use them properly. However, digital devices cannot achieve their maximum intended educational value unless used both at school and at home. It is our desire that each of our students be able to access learning in a way that is personally relevant and equitable, and so we are happy to announce that beginning in the 2018-2019 school year, each student in grades 6-12 will be assigned a laptop device that they will be taking home. Laptops will be handed out on the first day of school. In order to receive their laptop, students must bring with them the proper paperwork assuring us that they and their family have read and understood all the guidelines.
