At the regular meeting of the Board of Education held on Monday, September 17, 2018, the Board voted (5-4) to rescind the July 17, 2017 adoption of Policy 221 - Dress and Grooming (for students), effectively reverting to the August 17, 2015 version of the Policy. The Policy, now in effect, again requires all high school students to wear their school district issued photo identification, visible on a lanyard or clipped to the shirt collar on the front of the torso, above the waist and below the shoulders, effective once the district procures and provides lanyards and/or clips. Please know that any clothing that was permitted to be worn under the Policy that was in effect at the start of this school year remains acceptable under the Policy the Board reverted to.
We can't stress the importance of notes to your teacher and office in reference to any changes to your student's dismissal procedures. Please be sure to include the teacher's name, student, change of dismissal, and WHO will be picking up your child. If you have a last minute change due to an emergency, your call must be received by 2:30pm. Thank you in adance for your cooperation. Our number one concern is your child's safety. ps.....Last year's notes do not carry over to the new school year.
