Dr. Maggie Vitale, Superintendent
Hello! My name is Maggie Vitale, Ed.D. I am not only the proud Superintendent of East Stroudsburg Area School District, but also an alumni having attended K - 12 in our fine district. Being named as the Superintendent in this school district is the biggest honor of my life. The person I am today is a reflection of the dedication, care, and support I received from this school community. It is both humbling and exciting to now have the privilege of leading the very district that shaped me, as I work to foster the same growth and opportunities for our students and families.
Public education is the foundation of our future. Our responsibility is to mold and shape our future generations, striving to improve. With each generation, we strive to improve the society that we all live in. This all starts with education. Our families, students, community, staff are all interdependent on one another for the success of our school district and each individual student. Together, we are stronger, and together, we can ensure every student reaches their fullest potential and is prepared for success beyond graduation.
My goal is to cultivate a collaborative environment where every voice matters and every student is equipped with the tools they need to thrive!
Go Cavaliers and Timberwolves!

Mr. Andrew Snyder, Assistant Superintendent District Programs
Hello, my name is Andy Snyder and I am the Assistant Superintendent for District Programs. I am excited to have joined the East Stroudsburg Area School District. I have been an educator for 25 years, Starting my career as a Social Studies teacher at both Carbon Career and Technical Institute and at the Pocono Mountain School District. I then served as an Assistant Principal at both Pocono Mountain West Jr. High School and Abington Heights High School. I then became Principal at Abington Heights High School for seven years before I moved into a central office position as Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Federal Programs at Mountain View School District.
As your new Assistant Superintendent, I will bring a student-centered focus as I work to update district curricula and educational programs. I will also be involved with instructional improvement, assessment, and enhancement of programs. My philosophy of education is to meet students where they are at and get them to achieve things they could never dream of.
I look forward to all of the exciting opportunities to grow personally and professionally as well as to make contributions to the district’s commitment to academic excellence and student success.
