Mrs. Lee individualizes instruction in reading and math to meet each of her student's needs.  Her classroom uses a variety of research based programs to provide targeted instruction related to the skills and information needed to read with fluency and comprehension as well as in the area of mathematics. Mrs. Lee helps students meet the rigorous standards in the areas of vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency through a phonetic based program and a specific skill vocabulary program.  She works with the students in a small group setting through explicit direct instruction, modeling, guided practice, and independent practice providing varied opportunities to develop vocabulary and comprehension.  In math, she uses a comprehensive math intervention curriculum that targets middle school students who lack the foundation skills necessary for entry into algebra. Mrs. Lee works in a small group setting to deepen students conceptual understanding and build problem solving proficiency through the use of explicit instruction and multi-sensory strategies.
