• Welcome to all our little kindergarten kittens!

     Kindergarten Teachers
I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Rhode Island and a Master's of Education degree from East Stroudsburg University. I have been teaching at Resica since 2003, beginning as a first grade teacher and now, as a kindergarten teacher. Prior to coming to Resica Elementary School I taught in the Pleasant Valley School District for 10 years. I enjoy kayaking on the Delaware River with my 2 sons and spending time in my garden with my husband. Resica is a wonderful school to work at because I have a supportive group of colleagues, and I enjoy watching former students grow throughout their time in our school.

    Teacher: Ms. R. Ruberto
I graduated from Queen’s College where I earned my Bachelor’s degree. I later went on to attend East Stroudsburg University where I obtained my Master of Education.  I began teaching at Resica in 1995, a year after Resica opened. I love teaching kindergarten because I love to see my students realize that they are ‘big’ kids now and can do many things they never thought they could before coming to Resica. I really enjoy the fact that after my students leave kindergarten, I have the joy of seeing them grow for the next 5 years.
    Teacher: Mrs. C. Reyes
I attended East Stroudsburg University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, K-6.I love teaching kindergarten because I love seeing my students grow both academically and socially. I’m always amazed with how much they learn and how excited they are when they learn new things. Resica is a great school to work in because we are like family, we support, encourage, and help one another as much as we can. We all want the best for anyone that we work with and meet especially our students!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy cooking, working on my scrap book, traveling, movies, and spending time with my family.

    Teacher:  Mrs. S. Newman.

I began at Resica in 2006 as a reading paraprofessional.  My teaching career actually began at Middle Smithfield Elementary and later on continued as a kindergarten teacher at East Stroudsburg Elementary.  I returned to Resica in 2015.  I enjoy teaching at Resica because of its fun and hardworking atmosphere.  I consider it a privilege to work with such an energetic, knowledgeable, and caring staff!

I attended Kean College in New Jersey.  At Kean I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

My favorite thing about teaching are the ability to watch each child grow throughout the year. Each child is so unique and at the kindergarten level they are like little sponges, so eager to absorb everything.  I also love when I see their faces light up when what I am teaching them “clicks”.  It’s so rewarding!
