On Wednesday, May 21st, 8 students and Mr. Toth went to compete at the state level Media & Design competition. Having already won their region in 3D Printing & Design, Web Page Design and Digital Movie, the winning continued at Elizabethtown College for the dynamic eight that made the early morning trek to compete with the best in the state of Pennsylvania, and our JTL students did not disappoint.
In Webpage Design Liam Morales and Dante Perez were awarded third place for their A Warm Welcome to JTL, a web page dedicated to incoming 6th grade students.
In Digital Movie, Camila Taveras, Trinity Taylor and Elyse Kelly were awarded second place with their movie Titled First Day Jitters. This movie was created for the incoming 6th grade students at orientation and was used over the past two weeks to welcome new students.
In 3d Print and design, Chris Medrano, Orion Tucker, and Diego Pedrosa were awarded second place for the design and printing of a tool called the Deck Digger.
Congratulations to these Media Design students, who under Mr. Toth’s direction, created unique products and spent many long hours preparing for this competition.
