Mr. Michael Catrillo, President of the Board of Education and Dr. John Toleno, Interim Superintendent, addressed hundreds of teachers, support staff and administrators from the district's ten schools and the district office to kick off the first teacher day of the new school year. Their message expressed appreciation for the district's more than 1,500 employees, and stressed the need for empathy, compassion and teamwork throughout the year

The event concluded with all in attendance clapping to welcome the district's students to the 2024-2025 school year before dispersing to other locations for staff development sessions tailored to each school level. School begins for students on Monday, August 26, 2024!
